16th Annual Pink Ribbon Run
Why Participate?
Cancer is expensive. A lot of times there are costs that add up outside of what insurance covers, and non-medical costs as well. In 2021 the Beyond Pink Fund assisted 100 individuals in Black Hawk and 10 surrounding counties with $97,000 towards medical bills and/or essential living expenses. Even with health insurance, the deductibles and copays are overwhelming and expenses continue throughout an extended treatment plan. Your donations stay local and help make a difference. Your help is appreciated! THANK YOU! In 2022 we celebrated 16 years! Thank you for your support! At our event last year we had:

2022 SPONSORS We could not do what we do, without the support of our sponsors. The Pink Ribbon Run was started in memory of Michelle Friedley, who died way too young of breast cancer in 2004.
In 2006, the first Pink Ribbon Run was held in her honor. "Michelle wanted to help women who needed financial and emotional support. She has left a legacy of giving that she would not have been able to leave, had she not gone through cancer. She had a trademark smile and I am sure that smile is blanketing every single Pink Ribbon Runner!" - Pam Dowie, founding committee member of the Pink Ribbon Run |
