spacer line
Cancer Support / Survivors Network – An online community created by and for survivors and caregivers as an outlet to cope with the challenges and spectrum of emotions that living with cancer can bring. This “online” support network provides an opportunity to share experiences with one another while in the comfort of one’s home.
Visit the Cancer Survivors Network: at csn.cancer.org

Imerman Angels– This online support connection carefully matches a person touched by cancer (a cancer fighter, survivor or caregiver) with someone who has fought and survived the same type of cancer (A Mentor Angel). For more information visit their website: http://www.imermanangels.org/
CancerCare– For patients and survivors. Find professional support services, counseling, support groups and cancer information for your specific needs.  https://www.cancercare.org/support_groups

FORCE – Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered – this is a website that focuses in on those people (women & men) who are BRCA+.  Online support is available.   There are many other resources for BRCA+ patients including a research registry to follow BRCA+ individuals. Find them at: www.facingourrisk.com

Living Beyond Breast Cancer has a telephone helpline: Talk to someone who cares and knows what you’re feeling. Call the Breast Cancer Helpline (888) 753-LBBC (5222) – to speak with a woman who has also gone through a breast cancer diagnosis. The trained Helpline volunteers offer peer and emotional support and practical information in a confidential setting. Helpline calls are answered live from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET. To see all online resources offered by LBBC, visit their website.

Bright Pink- This is a breast cancer site including awareness and on-line risk assessment.  There are many proactive features regardless of your risk level.  Genetic risk (BRCA) is just one topic. Find them at: www.brightpink.org

Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center has two online breast cancer support groups: Breast Cancer Support Group and High Risk Breast Support Group. The groups are private and free of charge. They function like traditional support groups and include people who have been through breast cancer or at high-risk for breast cancer. Send us a question and our social workers will post an answer within 48 hours. By signing up you can also see old posts. Follow this link: to get signed up:
